ConMed AirSeal iFS
AirSeal iFS is the world's first 3-in-1 insufflator. AirSeal is unrivaled in its ability to maintain a stable pneumoperitoneum, constant evacuation of surgical smoke, and allows the surgeon to operate at low intra-abdominal pressure (low pressure surgery).

Low pressure laparoscopy
Data shows that low-pressure laparoscopic surgery has previously been difficult due to limitations associated with conventional insufflators. The AirSeal System’s unique ability to maintain a stable pneumoperitoneum and constantly eliminate surgical smoke allows surgeons to operate at lower pressures without compromising exposure and visualization.
By maintaining a stable pneumoperitoneum, constant elimination of surgical smoke and a valveless access through the Airseal trocar, the AirSeal System has been shown to reduce operating time, increasing the efficiency associated with surgery.
Three options for using AirSeal
AirSeal mode
By using AirSeal with the 3-lumen filter, you get the following benefits:
- OptimizeCO2 flow to maintain a stable pneumoperitoneum – regardless of leakage or use of suction!
- Facilitate smoke evacuation and filtration with 0.01µ ULPA filter
- Allows you to operate at lower intra-abdominal pressure (6-8 mmHg.), which has many per- and post-operative benefits for patients.
Smoke evacuation mode
Use AirSeal with a bifurcated, double-lumen filter set. This allows for high-flow insufflation and good smoke evacuation with filtration with 0.01 µ ULPA filter
Standard insufflation mode
Use AirSeal with a single lumen hose set for high-flow insufflation.
